Energy Medicine is a holistic approach to wellbeing that involves balancing and restoring the body’s natural energies for the purposes of increasing vitality, strengthening mental capacities, and optimizing wellness.
I am an Eden Energy Medicine Certified Practitioner. The techniques that I use were developed by Donna Eden and are described in her book, Energy Medicine. The techniques are based on the premise that by promoting balance and flow in the body’s electromagnetic and subtle energies, health and well-being are enhanced.
Your personal well-being is related to the state of your body’s energies. These energies are subtle and are not easily detectable by traditional scientific instruments and means. And yet throughout history and across cultures people have described seeing or feeling subtle energies.
Although Energy Medicine uses the term “medicine,” it does not imply that Energy Medicine practitioners are practicing medicine. Energy Medicine is a term used by many modalities in which the practitioner assesses and corrects energy imbalances in the body.
Energy Medicine is not a substitute for the diagnosis and/or treatment of medical or mental health conditions by a licensed health care professional. If you have a disorder that has been diagnosed by a licensed medical or mental health professional or a condition that should be evaluated by a licensed health professional, my services should be used only in conjunction with your obtaining that care.
Energy Medicine attempts to optimize the body’s overall health and vitality by balancing energy systems. It is not to be used instead of appropriate care from a licensed professional.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and care. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." It is administered by "laying on of hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
